Annie by the Sea
Well, today was the day. Annie Modesitt gave her New Directions in Color class at my fave yarn shop Wildfiber in Santa Monica.
It was the first time I had ever taken a knitting class and it was a blast. Annie is so talented and patient and funny and just an excellent teacher. I had done color work a little and kind of winged it, but now I know how to achieve different color effects in so many easy and interesting ways. There was even time left and we also got a lesson in how to cable without a cable needle. Just fascinating!!
Afterwards, Annie came over and we hung out a bit. It was just a great afternoon.
