Sequel-itis
When I go to see films like "Charlie's Angels2" or "Terminator3", I know what I'm in for. I do, however, hope for some semblance of a plot, maybe some humor, but not 90-plus minutes of mind-numbing special effects. Watching the chase scenes in these movies also made me think of last week's tragedy in Santa Monica. We're all still a bit raw from what happened.
So Hollywood, listen up! No more sequels! Don't you realize it's like the joke you pass around the office that's been xeroxed so many times it's practically unreadable. Guess that won't happen though.
This week, 4 of the top 10 movies are sequels, which means people are seeing them, despite the less than stellar reviews.
Okay..getting off soapbox and going to the library.
