I was helping my husband do some casting research this morning. In my travels, I came across this absolutely serious casting call for a show in the UK:
"We require for ongoing weekly show starting next year an elderly actress to sit next to stage knitting for a 2 hour duration.
She must be dead pan and interested only in her knitting (occasional glances to the stage performers)
She is to pull out a knitted willy warmer towards the end of show.
The show is of adult comedy content and is not for a faint hearted OAP!
In the same style of Dame Edna's Madge and Graham Norton's Betty.
Pay is cash (end of show)"
How funny is that?
