Bye, bye....

I was very sad to hear that Roy Scheider passed away a few days ago.

He was in so many of my favorite movies like "Jaws", "French Connection", "The Seven Ups"and best of all, "All That Jazz".

"All That Jazz" holds a special place in our family too. When my daughter was a baby and would wake up in the middle of the night crying, for some reason watching this movie always calmed her down. And it wasn't just watching the musical numbers.
She was entranced at the scenes with just dialogue too and watched Roy intently as he channeled Bob Fosse in an amazing performance.

Pretty funny, huh?

A couple of years ago we all went to see "All That Jazz" on the big screen at the Aero in Santa Monica. It was fantastic. If I watch it again, that last scene will be sadder than ever now.
