The Play's The Thing

Went to see "Much Ado About Nothing" (see July 17th entry) yesterday in Congress Park.

It's been a long while since I've seen anything Shakespearean (not counting The Sopranos) and it was very enjoyable.

The play was funny and modern and the performances were terrific.

This is the first production to feature their new permanent portable stage, courtesy of a grant from the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust. This stage is very close to the type of outdoor stages used during Shakespeare's time, so you're really getting an authentic experience in a historic setting.

It'll still be playing this week, so please try to go and donate whatever you can.
