No hat for you!

I was planning to go to the track just once this season to see what it was like and I decided yesterday would be a great day for it.

Yesterday was also the 16th Annual Hat Contest, which sounded like lots of fun and a great opportunity to take pics with my new camera.

But alas, I woke up with an eye infection and while people were happily donning their red caps and enjoying the weather (no thunderstorms!), I was sitting in an examining room, staring at the door with my good eye, waiting to be seen.

What can ya do? Maybe next year.
