The best email I ever received.
I wanted to get a special holiday surprise for my family. Craving some good old-fashioned treat from my youth, I went to Zabar's website. I got a great cake and couldn't wait to get it.
When it finally arrived, I eagerly opened the box. To my dismay, the cake was on the bottom of the box, with a heavy jar of jam and a coffee mug on the top. The top of the cake was bashed in and it was a little crumbly in places.
It tasted great, but I felt Zabar's needed to know about the lousy packing job they did.
I emailed customer service. Here's their response:
"I'm sorry about the condition of your babka."
Well, I thought that was funny!
