I'm going to New York!
Well, sorta. My name will be on one of 75,000 Post-its making up The World's Largest Pink Ribbon in Times Square next month. This is a breast cancer fund raising effort from the 3M company, who donated one dollar for each of the 75,000 people who signed up to participate.
Breast cancer has touched my cousins, several co-workers and a dear friend of mine was just diagnosed last week. Thankfully, everyone I know has beat it and I hope my friend will too. I hear of so many women battling this, it's almost an epidemic.
Please make sure you examine yourself and get your yearly mammograms.
I have some friends who are afraid to do this, but I am afraid not to.
