Knit Bits
If you're a fan of Annie Modesitt, then you'll be thrilled to know her first book has just been published. It's called, "Confessions of a Knitting Heretic" and you can order it here.
I'm a self-taught knitter and just discovered that my way of knitting is Annie's "combination method". This has held me back from understanding instructions that deal with people who knit conventionally. Happily, Annie's book will address this and I can't wait to get it.
Today's NY Times has a nice article about knitting getaways. You have to register to see it, so do it quick, since it will only be there for a week.
If you're in L.A. tomorrow, Saturday March 20th, knit designer Suss Cousins will be signing books and demonstrating her new knit kits at the Barnes & Noble at The Grove at 2:00PM.
To fans of Knitter's Review , have you thought of making a donation to the site? Clara runs it ad-free for so many of us to enjoy and it would be great if everyone contributed whatever they can to help her keep it running. It's a great resource and Clara deserves all the support she can get.
That's all for now. Enjoy the weekend!
